Store Policies

Shipping Information

We recommend placing your order with us as early as possible to allow for sufficient time of delivery and to avoid delays due to unforeseeable circumstances. You may not refuse to accept a delivery because of such a delay. These delays can include but are not limited to: the inability to obtain merchandise from manufacturers, delays by shipping company, or other causes beyond our control.

Shipping/Merchandise Pick-Up methods used are as follows:

  • Most merchandise will be shipped UPS or Fed. Ex. Unless:
    • Items exceed either carrier's size
    • Items exceed either carrier's weight.
    • A drop-shipping rate is located to that will expedite delivery time and cost effectiveness
  • Some items are not able to be shipped UPS or Fed. Ex. due to size or weight limits so they will be shipped using an LTL COMMON CARRIER {Trucking Company}. Curbside delivery only, inside delivery available at an extra charge.
  • Pick-up in our showroom during normal business hours are Monday thru Friday 9:00am - 5:00pm (Cash is welcome in our Showroom)
  • Next Day, 2nd Day Air, 3-Day Select Available at an additional cost.

Shipping Restrictions

Orders totaling $25.00 or less will not be shipped under any circumstances. Any item that has been classified as NON-UPS-able or clearly marked "CALL FOR FREIGHT RATE" will not be shipped at any other rate other one obtained from a Discount Shelving representative.

Partial Shipments

Discount Shelving, Inc. reserves the right to ship part of or partial orders without notification. If the majority of the order is backordered, a representative will contact you.

Inspection

All packages delivered should be inspected UPON RECIEPT. We cannot be responsible for missing items and/or damage that is reported later than 24 hours after receipt of delivery.

Damaged Shipments

The carrier insures all shipments against damage in transit.
If UPS or Fed Ex delivered order - Save packing slip/materials and call UPS for inspection and pickup and call Discount Shelving representative.
If Common Carrier Delivered order - Noticeable damage on delivery must be indicated when signing the truck bill of lading. If there is unobserved damage, you must file a claim with the carrier within 24 hours of signing for the freight and call Discount Shelving representative.
All packaging is inspected before shipping and the carrier is responsible for there safe delivery. We will be happy to help out in any claim that may have to be made on your behalf.

Return Policy

All returns must be made within 30 days of receipt with packing slip/invoice and in UNOPENED ORGINAL CARTONS. A 25% restocking charge will be applied on all returned items unless it is a result of our mistake. We must be notified of any return in advance; no unauthorized returns will be accepted. Discount Shelving, Inc. will replace, refund or issue store credit for any item we term appropriate. We will not be responsible or accountable for loss of anticipatory profits, or for special, minor or significant damages allegedly caused by the user of such items. There are no warranties, either expressed or implied, as to the quality, workmanship, design, merchantability, suitability, or condition of the items for any particular purpose, or any other representation or warranty whatsoever.
