Lesson #2: Knowing The Measurements Of Your Retail Space |
|
When ordering your slatwall, it is imperative that you know the
size/dimensions of your retail space. This will avoid undue waste and
additional freight charges when ordering unneeded panels

|
|
Lesson #3: The Different Groove Spacing On Your Slatwall Panel |
|
What is Groove Spacing and what is
Standard Groove Spacing?
|
|
|
-
Groove Spacing is the distance of space between grooves on a slatwall panel.
-
Standard Groove Spacing is 3" on center. This means that from the center
of one groove to the center of the next groove the measurement is 3".
-
* There are different groove spacing options for slatwall panels available at
an additional cost. These cuts are custom made and will increase lead-time. You
may choose from 3", 6", and 12" (not shown).
|
|
|
If you are looking for something unique, there is
another option called Cube Wall. Vertical and horizontal grooves are cut with
6" or 12" cube dimensions that allows you to get all of
the advantages of slatwall with a new look. The vertical channels break up the
endless horizontal lines that give slatwall its distinctive appearance. This
option is available in many different colors at additional cost.
|
**
Please note - Discount Shelving and Displays does not recommend using both
horizontal and vertical slatwall panels in the same run, the grooves will not
align properly. This is due to production with two different machines.

Lesson #4: The Different Strengths Of Your Slatwall Panel |
|
All Slatwall has the same strength regardless of the finish. The
panels are made with same "core" material: 3/4 " thick Medium
Density Fiberboard. The only way to increase strength of a slatwall panel is to
order panels with metal inserts. If the function of the slatwall panel is to
hold a heavier weight capacity or if you are using hangrails with the slatwall,
then it is recommended that you choose this option. There are certain inserts
available for a more decorative look, but they do not increase strength.
